The Port Authority of Cartagena (APC) organizes an event dedicated to the dissemination and awareness of the initiatives proposed for the reduction of underwater noise in the Port of Cartagena.

Keeping the noise down in a busy Spanish port

The average rate of underwater noise has risen by around 20% since the 1970s. The loudest and most disruptive sounds come from military sonar, oil exploration and industrial shipping.
